I had a big cassette collection too and I was never ever without my Walkman and I'm paying for it now. All those years of having those ear buds in my ears is slowly affecting my hearing.Originally posted by av98m:my cassettes unfortunately all died and I could not afford CDs then![]()

This new system started this past Monday so there have been lots of problems and adjustments. I can cry, I tell you. I have to summon up the courage to inform a customer that he cannot receive his delivery until the 19th. He specifically said he needs it by the 18th. No one told me that this outside delivery company that we're now using only delivers Wednesdays and Saturdays. How liddat? I'm soooo stressed!!!!!Originally posted by Wanda:It's always harder when new things are implemented. Hopefully things will work out smoothly, and people get used to the new system.
You're much younger than moi. Keep blasting music on your ear phones for another 5 years and you will catch up.Originally posted by av98m:ah..rick astley

Ok hitting the sack
Nite guys
my listening volumes on my ipod and stereo are still much lower than what the typical student these days cranks it up to. (some I can hear what they are listening when I'm near them on a noisy MRT train!!Originally posted by jetta:You're much younger than moi. She would drag me to concerts for free because she had to review them. I was there at the Brother Beyond concert at The Warehouse; I was dragged to the Hall and Oates concert, Debbie Gibson, Chicago, Richard Marx and a couple of others which I can't remember now.

When music is played too loud, my right ear drum tends to hurt.Originally posted by av98m:Observation:

If you ever get a chance to listen to them, listen to the entire album. Usually it takes me a couple of listens to like/dislike a song but I liked this album from the get-go. Aiyoh, you're making me dig up all the memories.....Originally posted by av98m:nope, dun have
I've always been sensitive to loud music and sound. That's why I never went through the whole zouk/fire/disco chionging phase. I couldn't stand music played at that volume levelOriginally posted by jetta:When music is played too loud, my right ear drum tends to hurt.Even when my dogs bark, it hurts.
I went for a hearing test a couple of years ago and they found nothing amiss.
Regret, regret, regret. Back then I thought I was invincible I guess. I went to Zouk a couple of times during Mambo Jumbo night but this was after I had my kids. I didn't like it. Way too crowded to dance and have a good time. I'm not into that kind of scene anyway. I used to hang out at the Warehouse because a friend of mine held the DJ contract there and he always played good music for us. We were also regulars at the Hard Rock and the music they played was fabulous. Where do you go in SG now, to enjoy 80s music?Originally posted by av98m:I've always been sensitive to loud music and sound. That's why I never went through the whole zouk/fire/disco chionging phase. I wore earplugs at concerts
