  the most frightening comment I read on this whole en-bloc fiasco is that if it becomes a regular thing, developers will probably decide to cut corners and build their buildings to last only 20 years or so since they'd probably be torn down every 10 years or less because of en-blocs

  hmmz not sure about the building standards in singapore. but i guess its somehting we would have to sort of trust or hope in the government agency when they send the designs and drawings for validation and approval
