Bake? Who has time?I have one high schooler who has band practise after school twice a week and softball three times a week. I have a middle schooler who has bowling once a week and homework club twice a week. I miss my alone time when I was a FT SAHM. The hubster is now playing Mr Mom since he doesn't officially retire till Nov 30. Till then, I'm thinking of extending my work hours so I have even less time to call my own.
erm.... i like to work late actually cos most ppl have left, no one to keep calling meOriginally posted by honeymouse:I don't think I am a morning person either but if it means I can go home early, it's all worth it.
At least takeaway or eating out is cheap in Singapore. We can't afford to do that (to eat out or buy takeaway food) over here so I need to have extra time for me to prepare dinner which usually takes 30min to an hour.
While I'm enjoying this job at Sears, I just hate hate hate the register. Just when you think you have it licked, here comes a customer with a problem to throw a monkey wrench. Grrr!!! How many times have I had that happen.Originally posted by udontknowme:softball AND band!!!!
that's A LOT of after school activities!
what's homework club..
that sucks...to have to go from ft sahm to working full time
are u gonna look for another job or stick to this one...

I have the same problem so whenever I visit SG, I don't waste time shopping on clothes for me. While you were here, did you shop in the petites department? I usually hit Penney's. They have a very big petite department. Sears isn't bad either if you just want classics. I rarely shop Gap or Old Navy anymore.Originally posted by elindra:u know i have the opposite problem in USA. clothes too large for me. In SG its usually too small. lol
Don't you agree that service here is sooooo much better than in SG? At least you get a salutation and a smile, small talk. Unlike SG where you get a grunt at best.Originally posted by elindra:I think the cashiers here r so polite but I think they have the time to coz there is no line to speak about. A person ahead of u is a long queue![]()
Old Navy too far for meOriginally posted by jetta:I have the same problem so whenever I visit SG, I don't waste time shopping on clothes for me. Is there time for you to head out for dinner? I was going to recommend eating at the Olive Garden. They have the best breadsticks, soup and pasta.Originally posted by elindra:i'm only flying off tomorrow
in the hotel room eating take out![]()
Yes but at the same time I feel that over here the ppl are not swarmed by customers.Originally posted by jetta:Don't you agree that service here is sooooo much better than in SG? At least you get a salutation and a smile, small talk. Unlike SG where you get a grunt at best.
Sounds like you had a blast shopping, I'm happy to hear. Check your buys for any kind of irregularies, just in case you need an exchange.Originally posted by elindra:Old Navy too far for me
I buy stuff at GAP for MPB n brother.
Thinking of getting their 5 bucks Ts to wear at home for me
I think Abercrombie is kinda overpriced. It's just slightly cheaper here
Not sure if they have Olive Garden hereOriginally posted by jetta:Is there time for you to head out for dinner? I was going to recommend eating at the Olive Garden. They have the best breadsticks, soup and pasta.
Point noted but in Japan where it's super duper crowded, the sales people there are still so nice and friendly. I love and miss shopping in Japan.Originally posted by elindra:Yes but at the same time I feel that over here the ppl are not swarmed by customers.
I mean on a crowded day is nothing compared to a working day non-peak in SG
I do and if it is acceptable like a washable stain I ask for a discountOriginally posted by jetta:Sounds like you had a blast shopping, I'm happy to hear. Check your buys for any kind of irregularies, just in case you need an exchange.
