There is so much focus on GMO soybeans but practically no news on GMO corn or GMO Canola which is way more rampant than soy
I wonder is it because of Green Peace or what

They require labels in Japan and Thailand too if the food is GMOOriginally posted by Fatum:the scandal goes deeper .... they are now handing out GM corn as food aid ... especially to South America, where they traditionally grew corn .....

Well they are fighting a losing battle coz more farmers are opting to plant GMO Soy coz it's so much less workOriginally posted by the Bear:test case.. you concentrate your efforts on one, then when it is successful, you pursue the rest using the precedence of the first..

closer to home, there's the oil palm craze in Malaysia and Indo, to fuel the "green" bio-diesel drive mainly in Europe ....
boffins actually worked out that more carbon would be released onto the atmosphere if we loose the rain forest carbon sinks .....
of course, the indo's method of clearing land doesn't help either ...![]()

What kind? I love salmon sashimi sandwiches. Speaking of which, I'm suddenly thinking of the Ikea cafe's Salmon salad. You know the Ikea here is only 6 years old? And they don't sell fabric? So disappointing. People here are so in love with Ikea.Originally posted by the Bear:i'm skipping lunch coz i'm on a diet today

That's the thing about owning a house. There's always something to fix!!!Originally posted by jetta:Thank you honeymouse.
How is the weather? Our days are hot but not scorching hot. It's still t-shirt and shorts weather here. Our nights are nice and cool so you can still wear a t and shorts, just the way I like it. Last winter I found out that I have cold air seeping in through the electrical points, grrr. I just bought some insulation to try and stop the draught. I also found out that the insulation around the front door needs to be changed. Piangz, talk about a money pit.
I feel so guilty about using the dryer instead of line drying my laundry, especially in sunny So Cal. To actually get out of bed early to hang the washing? *salute* We had a high of 25C today, really nice weather. Too bad I work at basement level.Originally posted by honeymouse:That's the thing about owning a house. There's always something to fix!!!
The weather is really nice today.... sunny day and max 21 deg C. I mentioned earlier that I actually got out of bed early to put the washing on the line as I think it's a waste for not doing any washing on such a beautiful day like that.![]()
I like drying my washing on the line outside instead of in the house. We haven't had a dryer at home so during winter we just put on a cloth rack over the heating vent.Originally posted by jetta:I feel so guilty about using the dryer instead of line drying my laundry, especially in sunny So Cal. I started the washing last night and sorted it out in the laundry basket before going to bed so it was all ready for me to put it on the line nicely/neatly this morning. I am a freak!!!![]()
