and with that, faith can encompass everything. if one can suspend logic or reasoning to believe that god or religion, one can also suspend logic/reason to believe whatever other thigns there are in that religion. and it entails sort of blind belief. something i cannot come to terms with.
and yes i agree religion is not a totally bad thing and even if its an illusion or scam, as long as it heps others i guess. but on the other hand we have buggers like those terrorist and jihadist................. I guess all things have their pros and cons
I don't like dogmatists any more than you do .... blind faith is never healthy .... it's as obsolete as the flat-earth society ....
but just because our current state of knowledge doesn't allow us to comprehend certain things, that doesn't mean we should deny it straight away, and say that's it's all rubbish, no ? ....

well .... I've stopped that quite a while back .....
it becomes a bit empty after a while .....
I have quit smoking .... and drinking .....
and after the last episode ... I think it'll be some time before i get into another relationship .....
but I'm looking forward to something though ....
making love ..... that is, to have sex with someone I actually have feelings for .....
I realized that I've only been rutting like an animal all my life .... that's why i stopped .... -

think of things like a judge in a court case .... do you apply cool, clinical laws all the time ? ... or do you temper your judgements with emotions and compassion sometimes ? .....
