I slept at 1 am++.... no doubt thanks to the influence of coffee which only seemed to kick in after midnight.
I woke up at 5 am to eat.... then I went back to sleep at 5.45am after saying my dawn prayers.
Then my mom woke me up at 7.30am.... and I can't get back to sleep.
Oh well... at least my first lecture today only starts at 12. -

In other news, the SMRT train service has deteriorated yet another notch. We reached the mrt station earlier this morning, yet have to see 5 trains passed us by as they were too full for anyone else to board. Finally, we barely squeezed ourselves into the 6th train that came by, or we'll be very late for work. -

I take the train everyday and off-peak is like 8 mins still -

what about healthcare?
we don't have enough hospital beds right now and the polyclinics are horrendously overstretched.
our health minister already said that he'd rather our hospitals be under capacity than over capacity, as he does not want 'wastage'
in the event of another viral attack like SARs, a lot of people are going to die.
