How are things for you on the home front?
Things on the home front aren't looking too good with my dad. His dementia has gotten worse and he has a hard time remembering who I am when we talk on the phone.
What about you? Since you're going to be in Oz for the long haul, have you initiated the process of obtaining PR status there yet? -

Yup! I'm getting ready to submit the paperwork but the cost is kinda setting me back right now. For the past few months, I did suffer a temporary decrease in income because of spending weekeds off with my fireman (who's now my ex btw) and for taking sick leave and thus missing out on penalty rate payments.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:What???? Things are thankfully back to normal now so the situation will be improving. 
So, yeah... PC. Broadband is kinda not cheap here and buying a PC will mean I'll have to finally :
- buy that nice, deluxe office chair I've always wanted;
- deal with tabletop space problem AGAIN;
- be prepared to deal with hardware / software faults, connection problems, etc (and help here is NOT cheap, nor easy to get, unfortunately!) ;
- have extra costs in my monthly budget with the broadband service; and
- finally decide WHICH PC to purchase!
So, yeah... not THAT easy a task afterall! -

Some weather channel reported that Singapore will be about 34 deg C today. And yesterday it said that Singapore will have showers. . . and reading av's post on this page, it seems that it really did!
