I think most people will be willing to sign up for that 1k a month family plan.
Condition: 1 male, 1 female, 2 children ages 0-21.
And both adults not working, stay at home, watch tv, do laundry, keep house clean and there is a regular supply of 2 sets of clothing per year, rice, condiments and veges & meat all shopped at the local hawker stall and providing a full 3 meal + 1 supper a day with that 1k.
Children's fees are subsidised and extra paid off with that 1k.
I am sure that yes, families can survive on 1k a month.
The problem is greed.
our ministers can't even survive on 100k a month ok, recently needed a big pay hike and there's another 'adjustment' coming soon for themOriginally posted by viciouskitty74:Sigh.....1k a month to live on is no problem.
can our own ministers or elite live off that?
And who is going to supply that 1k?
We can survive, yes. But how much can we live without?
Why can't you just pay in instalmentsOriginally posted by viciouskitty74:2 months ago, i owe the bank 7k.
They quote me that I have to pay off one shot, 9.2k.
After 2 months ding dong-ing....they say that the bank ask me to pay 6.5k and they close the relationship.
Like that, how to deal with these people? These people dont even know the figures and anyhow scare me with bankruptcy proceedings?
I have half the mind, to just get some friends, do up a leter of demand, i throw it in and declare myself bankrupt and be happily done with it.
I think most banks and large companies have some sort of debt collection agency on retainer these days?Originally posted by viciouskitty74:anyway, i just ganna a call from a debt collection company.
So sianz with them and their level of intelligience.
Why can we have more of that Mr Ng from Standard Chartered Bank? That kind of guy, because of the respect he showed to the debtor, has the ability to make the debtor pay up w/o resorting to nagging the debtor?
I have been making payments to my debt. Why is the debt collection company calling insisting that I sign installment plan with them; committing myself to their figures instead of what this debtor can afford to pay and willing to pay?
Is a installment plan signed that crucial to a debtor paying a debt?
Then they keep trying to insist they are not earning any money out of it....(My heart was saying....you say only. How can you confirm that your company isnt billing the bank, and the bank isnt billing me for your services?)
Come on....your company is surviving on air and the employees are working to harrass the debtors for the wages of air to breathe iszit?
and these are the people looking after our money in the banks??Originally posted by viciouskitty74:2 months ago, i owe the bank 7k.

I am paying installments! I just didnt sign the installment plan with them, cos they have those funny clauses that says that even if I am to pay up more one month, I have to pay extra admin fees!Originally posted by elindra:Why can't you just pay in instalments
It's credit card bills?
Originally posted by viciouskitty74:I am paying installments! I just didnt sign the installment plan with them, cos they have those funny clauses that says that even if I am to pay up more one month, I have to pay extra admin fees!
And that installment plan means I have to pay $130/- just for them lawyers to prepare that paper!
BINGO!Originally posted by elindra:
Which idiot will sign with them
And because of not signing up they badger you with bankrucy stuff?
-_-"Originally posted by viciouskitty74:BINGO!
and everytime they called, and I managed to talk to them before they hang up the phone. And I always asked: I have been paying, so what it is you want?
Ok.....here how it works. Everytime they called, they log the time and date, so if I dont pick it up, its recorded. And at the end of the month, this companies will bill their client ie. HSBC bank and submit that time log.
And HSBC bank will in turn include into the billing to me, debtor cum client, the service fees. the irony was these service fees include harrassing me.
So this credit company has been sort of calling me and hanging up the phone on me these past weeks.
the new paper loves this kind of storiesOriginally posted by elindra:-_-"
Maybe complain to the bank about their tactics?
Plus the bank would have statements on how constant you are in repaying your debts
Plus this is helping the bank to save money
Or write to the papers.
This should prove interesting
I did.Originally posted by av98m:I hope you kept all your bank statements so you can tally all the money you've paid to them so far and check it against their figure![]()
they would wham it out of your estate anyway. and the best part is they get first digs after the govtOriginally posted by viciouskitty74:I did.
My now delima is: Pay up and live for the next 7 years with this black mark hovering over me.
Or pay up slowly like what I am doing now and live with this black mark hoevering over me for the next 7 years.
And if I really KO within the next 7 years. The banks has to content with whatever they already has out of me.
when I got a cold call from them offering me a line of credit that was what I told the the guy on the phone. politely of course.Originally posted by elindra:Yeah HSBC has quite a sleazy reputation
I dun really like them and MPB doesn't like them either
I just posted my WoW account for sale
I want a quick sale
They cant, because I got insurance.Originally posted by hisoka:they would wham it out of your estate anyway. and the best part is they get first digs after the govt![]()

There's such a thing as half-blown cancer?Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Sigh.....the most interesting thing is.
I ever mentioned that I had cancer.
Banks, insurers and somewhere else, refuse to reimburse or payout, because they say it wasnt full blown cancer.
But, blood donation and checks with HSA, doctors claim that its cancer and thus I was refused as a blood donar.
When I asked for letters from either side to confirm its cancer or not. Both side dont want to issue a letter to that effect.
That was the time where I gave up. Plus with the crap I was getting at the uniform group, my work, my personal life, my family life.....I think I gave up then.
