Seriously I have never realyl played a shaman to advise you
But pay attention to your spell hit rating if you wanna do spells coz if it is not high enough you will have a lot of 'misses' or resists
For melee you need to pay attention to your hit rating

erm not sure, not many papers. and anyway most papers have sort of model answers or points to include anyway.
