I've been in the same line for the past 10 years..... though for different companies... maybe that's why I'm feeling a little of that feeling that it's a drag....

even back in our botak days he was like this, he never gets into trouble cos he was too smart for that, and could read people and signals perfectly ... he started his own IT company when he was 16 under his parent's name, and was involved as a witness for several high profile hacking cases ...
but in SMU he discovered the world of finance, and has been busily helping himself since ... when he's not wakeboarding in kallang, or crusing around the sunshine coast .....
I've been trying to nudge him onto something more conventional ... the guy knows people, and he can really sell ice to an eskimo .. I tell him we should start up something together, I'll do the monkey coding work, and he'll do everything else .... -

When I was studying I worked as a cashier, waitress (only lasted a week) and as retail sales promoter
Then I worked for 8 mths as a logistics exec then after that I have been stuck in this job ....I think for 5 yrs liao ... Sales & Marketing with trading elements

Actually I don't think there is anything really boring in life. It's all there! All the weirdos we meet everyday (hello!), the little funny incidents we meet with, the antics ur pets get up to, the recipes that worked, the recipes that don't.
Hmm.. but by nature, I'm a very restless person. -

i've been in the same organisation for 11 years...
in that time, i've been a working hack, a system administrator, a Strategic Researcher, a Treasurer, and a lot of other things in between..
now i do Community Involvement
but most of the time in this 11 years, the whole organisation has been running to stand still, way overworked and still the idiots up high are trying to cut manpower when we are criminally understaffed -

I always advocate change.
Reason why people feel uncomfortable after many years in same job, I think is also cos of the stagnancy.
After a while, the pond water becomes stagnant, need to seek new grounds u know. Then can grow bigger and more beautiful. -

not acaedamic research but finding stuff out there which relates to what my organisation does...
everything those guys are 'finding' are so.. humdrum.. typical..

I'm still looking for my niche ....
for something I want to do for the rest of my life ...
something I can bounce out of bed for every single day .....
something meaningful ... something worthwhile ....
I just realized that I spent most of my twenties drifting nowhere ....
in the army, in the uni ... and going through the motions for a paycheck ...

I like soyabeans leh. I grew up eating LOADS of it cos my grandma hawker stall next to soyabean milk stall. -
i like fresh soya bean milk... i like tau huay.... and i like the kind of yong tau hu soup that is cooked with pork bones and soya beans.....
