but most are what I'd call "hackers" .. not "coders" .... their code works ... but damm if anyone can make sense of it ...
that's why a lot of development work is being shifted back to north america ....
we're shooting ourselves in the foot taking in all and sundry as talents ....
this classmate of mine, his grades were excellent ... his only handicap were a rather colourful past (he looks like a heroin addict) .... and a language handicap ....
they are seriously underpaying him ....
and I wonder what sort of peanuts I'd earn when I come back ... -

We now officially has a electric cooker stove in the office and thats why we had contractors in the office.....
Now collegue has offered for us to help ourselves to the soup. It really smell really good this morning.....but some of us (outsiders) just had BK lunch...so its kinda of too full to drink/eat that soup. -

sure, I make more than twice as much as what my classmate is making in singapore ... but then I wasn't saving much either ... after rent and car payments (not because I was "hiau", but because public transport here is not like singapore, everyone drives, even the office janitors), food and living expenses, insurance and atrocious taxes, I wasn't saving much at all ..... after a year of cubicle slavehood, I haven't progressed much in my life at all ....
I reckoned that in singapore, at least I won't have to pay rent and all that, and I can get everywhere without a car, and I'd have CPF, eating outside is cheaper still .....
but, seriously, not that I'm picky about pay, or think I'm worth a lot more and all that . ... 2k is just pathetic ! ... -

and our pupil......that cute young man we have....ultra intelligient (even a senior partner commented). All he lack was experience. Is now happily rushing out work at my side while I nua away, since my bozz is away at some other PR event.
Young men like these, really are so nice to admire, look and work with.
