  they had lunch and she said he's humourous & gentlemanly
  
  but she also said it doesn't fit his "popular in school" tag. and alot of girls in school want him.

  then i think got to 'cut losses'
  and stop the cycle of her trying too hard, and you pushing away
  and only way to do tt is to stop contact
