what sticks out, you notice..
to the poor victim, being unreasonable becomes the baseline.. and from there, when the partner does something good, they remember that.. the psychosis is just noise and is ignored..

i tell u, trust is not something SOME people have. And if love means u get drawn into the terrible terrible whirlpool of insecurity and suspicion, it can drive u mad.
I read a real psychotic case of this woman who is constantly suspicious of her husband. to FEED her delusion, she started waking up in the middle of the night, to take her husband's shoes out in the garden so she could accuse him in the morning to leaving in the middle of the night (see the dirt on the shoes! HOW DARE u say u didnt go out)..
eventually the man cut off his... *ahem* to PROVE to his wife that he CANNOT be unfaithful. -
well, if you know that you are going work late, give your wife a call and inform her...she will understand...

but this other colleague doesn't have a psycho partner.
his father is really senile, his younger sis has down syndrome.
he has a 3 yr old kid.
his father and sis is living with them because in the past he decided his father wasn't sane enough to live alone.
so when he takes them out, his mother in law passes a comment like "why do u bring them out?" in a lose-face-seeing-me-in-public-with-them way.
best part is that he argued with his wife over this because his wife supports her mother's opinion.
he comes to work, he has cried over it. he doesn't know what else he can do to make everyone happy and all he does is blame himself. -

After all, if her husband can't be with her friends, then the reverse should be true and that she cannot be with her friends either. Otherwise it becomes a 'This restriction applies to you but not me' rule, which is of course hypocritical.
Unless of course, if she herself is so sociopathic as to not have any friends of her own.
So..... come to think of it, it's a toss-up between sociopathy and hypocrisy. -

uhhh.. where i work, the shifts are cast in concrete.. they have not changed for over 20 years.. the pattern continues on and on...

the normal thing that happens is that the guy calls to tell his wife he will be working late. end of story.
with the psychos, the guy gets stressed... tells us he has to go, so less one man... work remains the same. -
