But I enjoyed field-camp, SIT test and all the crap.
The guy who helped me along on my 8 click march is still one of my best buddies now in navy.
My section mate is now on the same ship with me. Another platoon mate who slept in the adjacent room trained with me in navy as well and I meet up with them every now and then.
Such are the bonds formed in BMT. -

Lemme reveal the facts. Prior to comissioning ship like in my case, you work long hours, sometimes no sleep.
You, being recruited to the navy, are destined to be squeezed dry because all the ships have too few people.
And as a naval spec like me, you have to:
1) Do your vocation duty. (me gunner)
2) Seaman shit. (We is talking huge ropes here.)
3) Duties (1 in every 3 days!)
Where got time see the world? -
