Have you guys seen the Axiotron Modbook? It's a tablet Macbook! :O
Since Apple is a bit too busy making teh sexay phones, OWC and Axiotron are taking up the slack with their new ModBook, which hacks up MacBooks and turns them into glorious slate-style tablet computers. The duo didn't cut many corners, either, since their MacBook mods hold onto most of those original specs, plus add in an optional built-in GPS module, and of course that Penabled Wacom digitizer. Pen input runs at 20x display resolution, with 256 pressure levels and zero battery use, and the MacBook's LCD is protected with some Chemically Strengthened glass, complete with a paper-like texture and anti-reflective coating. The ModBook is also shielded by aircraft grade magnesium alloy, with a copper and nickel layers for scratch resistance. Thanks to that slot-loading MacBook drive, the ModBook is apparently the only slate-style tablet computer with a built in CD/DVD drive, making it a nice option for portable DVD playback use. The ModBook is relying on Apple's Inkwell technology and other OS X enhancements for tablet functionality. Naturally, they're not exactly giving these things away, but the prices still seem reasonable for what you're getting: $2199-$2699 pre-order pricing for the "Good," "Better" and "Best" options. The latter two feature GPS, but if you pre-order now you can get it tossed into the low-end version as well. No word on an exact ship date, but it sounds like it won't be until March, April or later.

And she says her internet connection should run out in November.
I will have to register a internet a/c.
Time to shop for a pc/laptop and a internet plan.
Any recommendation? I am refusing to use Singnet. -

interweb, it doesn't matter to me as long as they deliver.. and i've had no problems with broadband.. the helpdesk, as long as you are polite and good to them, they go out of their way to help you

the essays that the teachers set a limit, you would OVERwrite and now have to cut down and summarise

i never cared about the limit after i deleted a whole section i thought was not that important... just to keep somewhere around the limit...
and was told by the lecturer that if i had put in that, he would have given me a high distinction
story of my life -

I almost fell asleep (standing). while waiting for the bus at the Interchange.. -
i've fallen asleep standing in the bus before.. which caused me to fall down and continue sleeping for about a few seconds.. i got off the bus at the next stop, dozed a bit at the bus stop, hailed a cab and went to work..
at the office, i fell into a deep sleep for about 15 minutes and was stoned the rest of the day

I just realised one thing:
I've already made my department spend $300 on glycerine for my experiments.
Then I made it spend another $300 on precision custom-made compression springs.
Now, I'm gonna make them spend another $500 on more glycerine.... turns out that I need more of the stuff than I originally thought.
The expenditure's kinda shocking when I think about it.... but then again, the projected budget for the project was on the order of $5000 - $6000. -
