  Maybe a paranakan baba young businessman in a family business who fell in love with the pirate's granddaughter and spawn more daughters forming their own prirate ship and raiding the nearby waters for men to populate Singapore.

  There were two pirates in history. A pirate couple Anne Bonne and Jack Rackham. Funny story come to think of it. Anne Bonne was disguised as male, so she could be with Jack. There was another female pirate disguised, name's Mary Read. Here's the funny bit. Anne found Mary handsome, thus revealing her own true gender, then she found out later that Mary was female.
