And I think he is racist too coz his assignments everytime the Asians either fail or get borderline passes

for my final year FTV project, we are supposed to film an MTV
we ended up choosing a bhangra love song
and u know what.. during our final show, this tutor said he got to fail us becos he has NO IDEA what the song is about becos we did not use English
(despite our visuals being rather straightforwardedly metaphorical lah)
thankfully an aussie classmate came to our rescue...
and the best part, right after ours
another group did a heavy metal english rock song
nobody could hear the words
and then right after tt, we asked the tutor - well that song is in English - do u know what it is about? -

And we had this Indian lecturer whom I can't stand a single word!
He has lived in Perth for like 20 over years and he speaks English with such a heavy Tamil accent that he might as well jolly well lecture in Tamil

We tend to compare grades and found it weird that every single Asian did badly or failed the paper and when we compared our project work and found that we had similar pts we were -

Speaking of bad lecturers....
Once I had a lecturer who didn't seem to know half the things that she was teaching.
And her English is absolutely atrocious.... in a mid-term exam she set, I lost 10% of my total score because of a poorly-worded question which could be easily misunderstood. A lot of people lost that 10% as well.... and when we brought it up to her, she explained (in even more ambiguous terms) why it's all our fault that we couldn't understand it.
Then for the second mid-term, we got another poorly-worded long question.... this time, I grabbed a teaching assistant (a PhD student) and asked her to explain what the hell that question was all about.
In the end, she also got confused by the question and had to discuss it with the other TAs.
They came to a decision, grabbed a microphone, and explained the question to the whole class. You really should have heard everyone groaning.
Then the TAs decided to take the initiative give us a few minutes extra.... during this whole fiasco, that lecturer was nowhere to be seen at all. -

i jump in the fun..
during my college time, our Econs lecturer hurl vulgar language at students (really verbally abuse my group of classmates) until some my class boys tempted to "fight" with him..the principal has to stop the scene...
we have to pull our classmates aside..

he was very pissed but i think with the rest of the department disagreeing with him
we were pretty safe
that sounds quite evil.. the grades thing...
but i tihnk all these really helps u to take it in ur stride u know

in my journalism class there was a lot of racism too...
very .. 'undercurrent' sort of

And of course we kenna very jialet for laughing at the teacher and the Ah Beng got public caning. -

Ya we just take it and try to convert the situation to our advantage if possible.
I only know my brother couldn't adjust to the life in Australia with the racism and all when he was in QUT -
Oh yeah... because of that 10% loss of total marks, I didn't get a good grade for that module, and my point average went down as a result.
I don't expect the lecturers to have the proficiency of F. Scott Fitzgerald in their exam papers.... but damnnit, I must protest when their lack of proficiency causes them to word their questions so poorly.
Hell, I've taken my tuition students to task for displaying the kind of proficiency that lecturer showed. -
the ki-siao lecturer can grab student book and drop across the lecture hall one leh... and the econ books are not light one hor...
until most of us skip his lesson, he kana "transfer" out later.. -
