I doubt they will export their hogs when they are importing like crazy from USA and Canada and Brazil currently. If I'm not wrong from Europe too. Convert to less fat but more sodium alternative ......... SPAM!!! The Hawaiian choice
BUt the low sodium can is still ok -
I don't care if luncheon meat goes extinct ... there's always spam ....
but ... I'm going to miss the hong sao pai gu and the pork trotters ....
a cup of rice, a can of those stuff, is a meal for me ........

Maling has a better melt in the mouth flavour due to the fat content. It is also more 'pang' due to the fat content.
After eating SPAM for some time, I don't think it's that bad
