No, they wouldn't do a price adjustment. But I'm not really complaining as I feel I got a darn good price on the plasma TV.Originally posted by jetta:MG! Ho boh? LTNS! Thanks!
BTW, did you head back to Sears to get your price adjustment? Be sure to keep checking the price for the next 30 days k? You may just get a better price, given all the upcoming sale events.
It's hard to buy a small turkey or hamhock to feed 4 people. Even harder to make side dishes for finicky people. One doesn't like potatotes, two do. One doesn't like corn, two do. Two like peas, two don't. Etc, etc, haiz. What's a cook to do? Cook them all anyway.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Indeed. It takes lots of self-control to not over-indulge oneself during this time of the year. And it's worse for people living in the winter climes as there are less opportunities to burn off the calories outdoors because of the snow and shorter daylight hours.
Did you know we get $2 for every Sears card we open? The cashiers are good at this. Some rake in as many as 20 a day.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:No, they wouldn't do a price adjustment. But I'm not really complaining as I feel I got a darn good price on the plasma TV.
BTW, my Sears card arrived yesterday. Didn't realize it was a MasterCard--I though it would just be an ordinary store charge card. Anyway, I plan on cancelling the card after I get the bill for the TV and pay it off.
Why (pause for effect) yes I am.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:You're on the other side of the world to me.
What?!?!? I specifically asked the SA if there was an annual fee associated with the card, and he assured me there was none.Originally posted by jetta:Did you know we get $2 for every Sears card we open? Did you get the Repair Maintenance Agreement?
Nope. I knew about the $150 sign-up discount for the Sears card, and didn't bother to ask about any others. The SA also didn't mention them.Originally posted by jetta:MG, I'm curious. Didn't the associate show you all three card products?
Hm... just to clarify, the annual fee for the first year is waived.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:What?!?!? I specifically asked the SA if there was an annual fee associated with the card, and he assured me there was none.![]()
Guess I'll definitely be cutting up the card after I pay off the TV.
No, I did not sign up for the maintenance agreement. Most of such agreements are shams and cash cows for the retailers anyways.
Wow, over at appliances, we've never seen/heard of such a sign up promotion. I hope he told you the right thing. The only sign up "discount" you get back from signing up for a Sears MC is a $15 credit on your first statement. If you need clarification, you can call credit at 1800-917-7700. That was one of the first things I asked about when I spoke with the SA--whether or not it was free just for the first year, or in perpetuity. And unless I misheard, he specifically assured me I'd never have to pay an annual fee on the card ever.Originally posted by jetta:Hm... just to clarify, the annual fee for the first year is waived.
I know how people feel about extended warranties but after having gone through training and seeing people with irreparable products reap the rewards, I fully believe in the Sears agreement. Only because it goes over and beyond all others offered elsewhere. I'm not trying to make you buy it, just telling you what I know.
