A few colleagues and friends who migrated here told me before that there will be this uncomfortable and painful period when you're neither here nor there - you no longer belong back home because friends have moved on without you and some might even have forgotten you - and yet, you can't quite call Melbourne home yet because you've not sunk your roots in yet.
I think I'm in that transition now.
