Probably because the raw pressings had to be freighted back to the US, packaged and labelled, and then exported to Singapore.Originally posted by av98m:KNNBCCB, the snow patrol CD I bought from Borders is pressed in Singapore!!![]()

When I was younger (Ahem), I was of like you - I would buy loads of music CDs from Sembawang music centre, books, and clothes. On hindsight, I think I spent too much money on them...esp on the clothes.![]()

Well, SG probably isn't the only export market for that CD. It probably makes more economic sense for the record company to distribute their products from a central location, regardless of where the CDs were actually manufactured.Originally posted by av98m:the fine print at the back says manufactured and printed in singapore
when r u on leave ?Originally posted by the Bear:yeah.. what's even sadder is that i may have to work on sunday 23 Dec

Kinda like how FedEx channels all of their domestic packages through their Memphis hub, regardless of their origin and destination. A package sent via FedEx from, say, Los Angeles to San Francisco would be routed through Memphis, halfway across the country.
Edited to add: Besides, why are you buying CDs when there's Bittorrent?
