He not only learns how to speak but learns how to write too. He seems to do better in writing than speaking though!

He not only learns how to speak but learns how to write too. He seems to do better in writing than speaking though!
MPB speaks chinese fluently and accurately but fails horribly when it comes to reading and writing
MPB does not need to know how to speak mandarin to communicate with my parents or relatives though because they will speak fluent English including my grandmother
And the sad thing is, MPB speaks much much much better mandarin than the majority of my relatives
Anyway he prefers people not to know that he understand mandarin so that maybe they will say something in front of him thinking that he does not understand -

Ya la the hilarious incident he told me about his Chinese colleagues pushing him to talk to this PRC engineer because they couldn't understand the PRCOriginally posted by honeymouse:I don't think my hubby is better. my office chair (it's high back and super tough one), finally BROKE....!
the legs gave way...
tmr my UK colleagues and my UK boss will and
for the past 2 days, when my chair legs show signs of cracks, they kept teasing me "(too much curry puff and buffets heh" ..)
(he's already getting me a brand new comfy one and hopefully it arrives tomorrow) -
