I believe that sbst will be more interested in this than any of you but the latest news I have from Canada is that
"Pork packers lost money all year right up until late Sept. and then made some big bucks starting in Oct. with extremely low hog prices . That of course is hastening additional liquidation. So I think we can count on higher beef and pork prices starting sometime in the spring and perhaps even world meat shortages as the grain and dollar situation work their way into meat ."

The U.S. dollar which seems to be having trouble finding bottom is affecting everything in agriculture and food world wide. My soybeans have already gone up another US$35/MT based on the CBOT price nia. I have not cost in transportation and freight and anything which is going up even further and this is a new 34 year high wor -
