Actually, my ex and I went to a lot of places because he had a car. Or rather, WE had a car because I helped with payments now and then.
Movies at midnight, late night supper, driving trips to Malaysia... siiiigh...
I don't think I can afford to pay mortgage AND own a car here though. It's way too expensive! My colleagues who own cars are all moaning under the financial burden and have all advised me to just take public transport and rent a car when I need to go out of the city. -

Hey, we're almost in the same boat. My SO got licence many donkey years' ago, but he had never drove alone....so it's as good as not knowing to drive. If I ever get to do the refreher course and then rent a car to go around Hokkaido, I'll have to be one doing all the driving. -
