I don't think I can go for a Singaporean guy though, much as I'd love to. The playing field is not quite level for me there, ie. And so many games to download
And my hubby is happier too coz I can play PSP in the hall while he watches TV -

Coz the modded ones are the ones that can play online games
You can mod it at the shop or go online
They have the modding software online too
You can play Playstation games on your PSP and Nintendo games too
I've been busy playing Jeanne D'Arc so I guess I will only download over the weekend FF Tactics etc

I read what you posted on the Jeanne'de Arc thingy. Thinking of getting it.
I loved FF Tactics, the original one with Ramza Beoulve. Great story, plot, pacing. I liked the gameplay as well. Used to be so hard for me.
I only realised it could be so easy after understanding the mechanics better.
FF Tactics Advance, the one with Marche, was so-so. Some might prefer the more cutesy graphics as compared to the original but I like the politically driven theme of FFT Original better.
Back to Jeanne'de Arc. I believe this particular genre (inclusive of all the FFTs) are classifed under S-RPG, Strategy RPGs. Hence, the reason why it was classfied under RPG, although you felt it was more tactical. FFT Original is one of the best, if not the best, that I've played which comes from this genre. -

Jeanne D'Arc have quite a nice storyline and it is fun

The modding is just software nia
They don't open up the machine at all
No seal is broken and the warranty is only void if you break the seal
If anything happens to your set and if you are worried Sony will not accept the warranty, just bring back to the shop you bought and get them to revert back to the original OS nia -
