I have risen, but I am not shining! My muscles are still aching like crazy and I am so tempted to take sick leave again because I don't think I can lift and what-not with the patients today.

if everyday was like the day before and today, the workload will not be overwhelming..
it is only overwhelming because the boss keeps interrupting and badgering us over trivial nonsense.. and the "discussion" over things to be done is usually a 2-hour monologue by her about everything we are about to do... she just repeats it over and over about 3 times...
oh well.. all good things must come to an end.. today, is the 2nd and final day of their planning seminar...
the management will be back tomorrow...
with that, i'm going to go get my light breakfast of a sandwich

I'm in a kind of frenzied panic right now. I didn't read my PR application documents properly and just now realised that I have up till 8 Feb to scan all my documents and submit it to the immigration authorities online!!
I can have everything ready by then except for my CID Police Clearance!!! Die!!! -

Bro is very busy at work and I hardly get to talk to him at all.
Mom and dad are working too.
Basically, I have a family in Singapore, but no one is free to run errands for me. Not unless they have to take annual leave to get the day off to do it.
Ah well... They processed my application much faster than I expected them to! I just read the entire thing and realised that my profession, and the fact that I've lodged my application online, must have given me priority! 
I'm so used to the Aussies doing everything slowly, dragging their feet, that their speed in this issue, still astounds me! -

No wonder when I returned to Singapore last trip, I felt everything was whizzing past me in Orchard Road and I couldn't breathe and almost had a mini panic attack, being surrounded by a sea of people walking in all directions, drowning me in their hurried frenzy! -

strangely, i never felt that when i came home...
no matter how fast or how slow, i seem to be okay...
maybe it's because i'm kinda slow in the first place.. it takes a while for things to sink in and by that time, i'm up or down to speed -

I think I was a bit traumatised by stuff that happened here when I first came almost two years ago. Suddenly, I forgot all the stuff I used to know!! It was like semi-amnesia! And then, recently, it all came flooding back to me and my mind became sharper than it had been for the past few months.
I think our mind has amazing survival capacity and it does what it can to try to ensure our survival, whether we agree with its methods or not! -
