HURHURHUHRU! That's quite a frightening thought! 
Oh well, sometimes, our minds have a mind of its own, it seems!
Also, we can all adapt to work in different situations but you can't deny that there will be a few situations that we're just adept at, more so than others.
It didn't help that I have been working in an environment that I simply dislike. It's alright though, because come mid-February, I'll have the chance that I've been fighting and praying so hard for!!

I hated my workplace for the longest time, esp the very political Aussie colleagues. Now that I'm finally getting the big break I've worked hard for, I'm going to leave all my new friends behind and venture out again. Take a deep breath, take the plunge, and carve a new niche for myself!

we're probably doing the work of about 10 people...

The 2008 Demographia study of international housing affordability listed 18 Australian cities in its top 50 of severely unaffordable markets.
The study rates housing affordability in the English-speaking nations of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, US, UK and Ireland.
The least affordable city in Australia is Mandurah (sixth-least affordable overall), south of Perth, where houses cost 9.5 times a household's average annual income, with Sydney (8.6), Perth (7.6) and Melbourne (7.3) in 11th, 19th and 22nd place overall.
Demographia rates a city's housing market "affordable" when the cost of an average home is three (or less) times average household income, "seriously unaffordable" for four times the average and "seriously unaffordable" for five times.
"On average, Australian families are forced to spend 6.1 times their entire household income to buy a typical home compared with 3.1 times in Canada and 3.6 times in the US, and that's before interest charges."

i find that in most cases, rank is inversely related to competence

If I STILL don't get my PR by then, nevermind, I'll ask to work in the Cardiac wards first to gain more hands-on experience with cardiac patients first before heading for the sponsored course in Jan 2009.
Actually, I don't really want to start studying until Jan 2009. I've become too slack liao!

tho ICU sounds very "stressful"... must be cos of shows like ER but hey it's more impt u enjoy wat you do

I think I shall have to buck up and start revising a bit starting next week! Otherwise, when I go over, I'll just embarrass myself. It's frightening how much we can forget if we haven't been utilising the knowledge for almost two years! Or maybe, it's just me growing older...
I love studying actually. If I were an heiress and didn't need to work to survive, I'd just enroll in course after course!
PS. Actually, I have dreamt twice or more, of hearing the ol' ICU equipment alarms go in my sleep! I wake up suddenly to tend to the alarms, then realise that eh... I'm no longer in the ICU in Singapore!!
