Due to my shiftwork, and also due to the fact that if and when I do get to watch TV, I keep falling asleep halfway through the shows, I don't recall an episode where the nurses in Gray's Anatomy went on strike.Originally posted by InnoHippo:just like it is showed on Grey Anatomy?
But I suppose it won't be far from that. During the strike, advanced notice was given to the govt bodies, the strike was held in a stadium, hospitals organised buses to bring nurses to the strike, and if you wanted to participate but were scheduled to work, just tell your Team Leader and negotiate your roster with her.
It is very good to have a strong union backing you up. I can't wait to find out what increment we will get and whether nurse:patient ratio will be improved for the safety of all! -
