its perspective and mode of life wor.
I don't usually have a problem with anger. takes a lot to really ruffle me. and even when I get ruffled, I cool down quite fast too and no lingering effects.
what i need to really learn is to deal with stress better and how to prioritise and then STAND BY it. Everything is like so important and needs to be done - and so little time.
K. I would love to talk to you about it shro.
But I got to run now. Has a appt to meet a young man that is buying me sushi teh lunch at Great World City at 1.30pm.
Looks like i will need to ride fast.

Air Show is a public disaster
No proper waiting queue for buses, SMRT did not deploy staff to maintain crowd control, end up SOC officers from police ended up become bus inspectors

Actually it all started from no proper signages and barricades to stop people from cutting queue... Anyway all the shuttle buses are made to squeeze (To Pasir Ris, Expo, Mandrain Hotel, City Hall) all made to squeeze in a pathetic place only meant for 8 buses...
Even they got 1 operator who is never interested in running bus services... No inspectors nothing.. End up the police got involved into this crap

Quite disappointing to hear, especially since the Air Show is pretty high-profile. Imagine what the foreign visitors to the show must be thinking about Singapore because of this mess! ![]()

It is so sad to see that instead of improving things based on past experience, things have deproved!

But the joke is police made to become bus inspectors when it's the bus co job to maintain crowd control on their part
All thanks to SMRT ![]()
I like the general direction Australia is heading towards in handling its social issues.
Firstly, stricter regulations have been enforced to force the lazy, unemployed people collecting handouts from the Govt to get off their bums and find employment! ![]()
Now, they are exposing the high costs involved in treating and indulging in Aussies who are addicted to prescription drugs. (In Saturday's paper, it was revealed that the Paramedics here "are treating almost 8000 Melburnians a year for overdoses of precription and over-the-counter drugs - 11 times the figure for heroin. In the same period, almost 5100 Melburnians were treated for alcohol-related injuries and poisoning.") So much money spent on idiots! ![]()
They are also going to tackle the booze problem here. Yippeee! About time! Yesterday's headline in The Age : This is Melbourne at night : Alcohol-fuelled Anarchy, sums up the extent of the problem. A reader wrote to The Herald Sun yesterday with regards to this issue revealed that, "On an economic level, alcohol-related harm is estimated to cost more than $15 billion a year."
What the rotting eggplant?!! ![]()
Be thankful that in Singapore, such issues do not suck out precious taxpayers' funds!
Oh, I wish to mention a very interesting case of prescription drug addiction to you guys! Yesterday, I took care of a patient who's taking a twice a day dose of Oxycontin 80 mgs x 6 tablets, and another 6 tablets of an opiod and addictive prescription drug!!!
I'm going to return to work today and will check out what her daily total dosage of prescription drugs are, but omigosh... that's 480 mgs of Oxycontin each dose, with a total of 960 mgs a day!!! And she's been on this for YEARS!!!
I don't think any painkiller will touch her now!
For reference, Oxycontin 10mgs once or twice a day is enough to quell the pain for most post-operative patients. I think I shall photocopy her drug chart because it's helluva interesting case! ![]()

That is, after all, a corporation which places profit-making above its service to its customers....
They can't even do simple things like vacuuming their bus seats regularly.... as a result, lots of dust gets trapped, and I alwayd get greeted with a musty smell every single time I board one of their buses.... tsk tsk....

sbst, this piece of news from Melbourne might be of interest to you : moms travelling around with their babies in prams are complaining that the buses, trains and trams are not user-friendly and they are demanding that the drivers help them to board and alight!!
What the... The entire public transport schedule has to come to a halt just to help these moms?
That will result in a massive standstill of the already bulging-at-the-seams public transport system, especially during peak hours!
Sometimes, this is what happens in a free-speech democracy... every minority group wants to have its way, refusing to consider the macro point of view, wasting resources in the meantime. I mean, what happened to family planning? Plan before you actually start your family! Make sure you have a car, at least, it's not that expensive to get one here! And if you can't really afford to, then you might want to re-think starting a family.

Oh yucks! Imagine, if someone sneezes on board the bus, the droplets stick to the windows, the seats, etc, and if it doesn't get cleaned on a regular basis... OH YUCKS!!!
That's why I everytime I have to touch things like the posts or handlebars on the buses, elevator buttons, tap handles and door handles in public bathrooms, I always go
!
