I think upon your return, you'd BETTER take a few days off on MC!!! You heard about my 25-year old friend who died because the flu virus got to his heart, right? If your immunity gets weakened, you're putting yourself on the path of danger. It's really not worth dying for your job.

I went to print some lecture notes at my faculty's computer cluster just now....
I shrank the PDF files such that I get four pages per sheet of paper, saving money (and trees) in the process.
I got four pages per sheet, all right..... but I still got charged for every page as though I had printed just one page per sheet. I got charged $3.50 instead of $1... by the time I realized the discrepancy, it was too late - the amount had already been deducted from my cashcard.
And the printing room auntie can still scold me for 'not checking properly'..... @&#^@%@.....

went on an exercise in futility to the other section because the insane boss wants "everything to be in black and white"
encountered those people who worked under her years ago.. she hasn't changed in all these years.. she'd sit on things or turn up late and want changes when it would be physically impossible..
the one who told me about it was a junior officer who is damned capable and has the patience of Job.. and even he blew his top at her in the past.. outright told her to keep quiet and do it herself if she wants because after about 2 hours of setting up an exhibit, she turns up 10 minutes before the exhibition starts and says everything has to be set up again to her insane specifications.. he told her that she can jolly well do it herself because he took 2 hours to set it up and she was nowhere to be seen..
it's just like what i'm going through now.. only thing is, she sat on things for ages before letting it be seen by the division boss.. now we don't have time to change it and the division boss wants it changed.. and i am supposed to change it, yet not change it because "we don't have the time to rewrite"

i highly suspect the NSL drivers are ex-cab drivers

am hungry.. all kakis have run off on various errands which is good coz i'm running to stand still with my work.. and the boss seems intent on loading me with unnecessary and pointless work..
and keeps calling me about "i'm about to reply to XXXX over XXX.. to tell them that we will be XXXX".. uhh.. she's about to throw me in the cc list so why the hell does she need to derail my train of thought by calling me on the phone?
friend came to do something so dropped in on me.. and realised the stupidity of the boss.. and he was shocked speechless.. mouth dropped open.. he realised i wasn't exaggerating and i was actually telling them a toned down version of my boss's stupidity..
oh well.. must.. endure..

she is trying to tell everyone she is doing work?
i think it's a total lack of confidence and an subconscious knowledge that she's just "pian jiak".. so try to give a sense of "i'm in control" but failing miserably..
even the clerks think she's off her rocker
one of these days, i'm going to snap and tell her to shut up already..
there was once when i was called about bloody 8 times within 45 minutes when i was trying my damnest to do something really complex... i growled really loudly.. so loud that the whole office heard.. she tried to uncomfortably laugh it off.. and didn't call me again for the rest of the day.. the next day, business as usual.. kept calling me over stupid things..
going to go buy lunch and lunch in.. my little break is over.. got to come up with some verbal diarrhoea which she likes so the division head will approve (which is fat hope because my boss adores elevator muzak and has the artistic and poetic taste of a crushed snail)
