    That is bloody ridiculous!!!  What kind of ass-brained judge would award damages to this kind of ridiculous case?!  The judge should have reprimanded the lady for wasting everyone's time instead! 

  Whatever happened to the Samaritan's act, where if a doc / nurse endeavours to save someone or act in someone's best interest and inadvertently causes hurt, they will be excused because the motive was to save and help, not hurt?  If things continue like this, no one will step up to help someone who collapses anymore.

  So... next time if you go to a mall and can't find a parking lot, and as a result, miss a date and your date leaves because he / she is tired of waiting, you can sue the mall for not providing enough parking spaces during peak hour?

  Or if you have a falling out with a friend, you can sue the friend for distress and depression?

  Or if your colleagues gossip about you, you can sue them for defamation and depression? 

  If your boss overworks you, you can sue them for sleep disorders, stress, deterioration in family life and social life, etc?  Hmm...

  no one helps anyone anymore because of this...

  i think one of these days, there will be a law imprisoning people who file nonsensical suits..

  anyway, this morning, someone tripped and fell at the MRT station near my workplace.. i think she broke her ankle.. our security guy went to ensure she was all right and we called an ambulance...

  i love it when i go eat crabs and everyone wants to eat the pincers.. leaving the body parts and the little legs to me

  Oh my gosh... if she was wearing high heels or platforms, the injury would be worse.   

  I remember years before I became a nurse, an ex-collague at my Compaq workplace wore platform shoes to the Ladies, where she somehow slipped and twisted her ankle so bad, she couldn't move and an ambulance had to be called in.  I think her high platforms made things worse...
