and i heard that air traffic controllers in heatrow airport are told to disregard safety and sop just to land and depart more planes.

Actually I can't believe there are people who actually think what Maia's doing is ok.

i think there is a confusion between
single mother by choice
single mother by accident
single mother by no-choice
single mother by no-brains
different cases... so cannot 'lump' together to judge...
so u cannot accept cos Maia is single mother by no-brains :

well... it's kind of a relaxed thing with them though.
Hmm.. today Zaobao got one article on the last Teochew cemetary... next yr it would be exhumed to make way for DTL depot
Alrdy 8 other Teochew Cmty have alrdy been exhumed and cleared over the past 30 years
*me mysteriously appears in a puff of smoke*
Just got back from tuition.
Basket.... they're now teaching Cartesian equations of circles in A Maths..... the thing is, I only learnt that in JC2 as part of my A Level syllabus! WTF is MOE doing, introducing all these high-level concepts at the lower levels?!?! ![]()
And I was forced to teach one fiendishly difficult question in that chapter..... it involved finding FOUR variables with FOUR simultaneous equations.... which is already tedious enough if all of them were linear.
The thing is, two of them were circular.... a circular equation has the form:
(x - a)^2 + (y-b)^2 = r^2
Kaoz.... even on a good day, it would take me 30 minutes to work it out manually!
I can't help but wonder about what Bear said about how our education system is aggressively finding the next Carl Friedrich Gauss and tossing aside all the rest.... it seems that in its quest for excellence, MOE has totally forgotten its basic role of providing a strong fundamental education base for the masses.....

I don't believe O level will come up with this.
Is this from assessment book?
Just watch xing guang da dao.season 3....Our sg contestant huang jin lun is really good. So far beside xiao jing teng from the season 1 he is the one who give me the deepest impression. Hope he can jia you and bring glory to our country hehe.

poor kids.. and worse thing is, many of em will end up learning super advanced stuff which they won't even be using in tertiary education.
but as usual, singapore always trying to be no.1 in everything that we can, and it seems like education will only get harder and harder.
WAH.......poor kids.
Seriously wtf is wrong with the people on top?

well, most of em were scholars and straight A+ students, so they think that if they can do it, everyone else can.![]()

now everywhere all scholars... but gotta be practical in doing things... like the taxi issue

Have those bleddy idiots lost the concept of 'progressive training'? As in, teach the basics, and then slowly ramp up the difficulty?
I tell you, dollars to donuts say that when they were 16 years old, they couldn't finish that #&^$# question on multiple circular equations with four variables within 20 minutes.
Because at that age..... that was never even part of the O Level syllabus. I know, because I only learnt that when I was in JC2.... not even JC1, okay?
Bloody hypocrites.

to me, there is no point in learning all these advanced stuff in sec sch. And since Singapore is taking the O level cambridge examination, are the other countries also learning something so advanced?
whats the point of teaching something so advanced that they can learn in JC in the future.
