hey, with all the indians and chinese competition in our unis, you have to start them young ... ![]()

whats the point of teaching something so advanced that they can learn in JC in the future.
actually things gotta be progressive

I tell you, dollars to donuts say that when they were 16 years old, they couldn't finish that #&^$# question on multiple circular equations with four variables within 20 minutes.
Because at that age..... that was never even part of the O Level syllabus. I know, because I only learnt that when I was in JC2.... not even JC1, okay?
Bloody hypocrites.
woah, spending like 20-30mins on 1 monster question in an O level exam is almost asking for the kid's life. as if relative velocity wasn't killer enough for most normal O level students. they have to introduce this kinda crap.
but hmm, could cambridge be the one behind it? afterall they're the ones setting the paper, but yet again i don't think the education standard in Britain is so advanced.
Maybe progressive training to em, is start with the hard one, if you can manage it, congrats, you've already progressed past the basic stage?![]()

Oh yeah.... I can imagine one of the brainstorming sessions at MOE Headquarters.....
'Lord Kelvin was a Physics prodigy who entered Oxford at age 10 and became a full professor at age 23!!!!!
Stop the presses! Find Singapore's own Lord Kelvin! Take no prisoners!!!!'
which poly offer a course on flirting and sexuality again?
I just had lunch with a mathematics major from NUS .... she says she'd be hard pressed to find a Singaporean students in her math lectures ...
not just many of the profs, but most of the students are all non-Singaporeans ....
Singaporeans are now a minority in these sort of majors .....

actually, you know what I would like to see ? ...
i would like to see more support and more recognition for kids with learning diabilities in Singapore ...
the lees and the rich can afford the diagnosis and the connections to get their offsprings to study at the international schools ... we peasants have to see the kids shunted aside to the peripherals of the system .....
rain is good for s3x u noe
