  if your're very close to stop line, clear... you've enough time to clear the junction w/o beating red lights... and you can get into an accident

  signs of inflation...

  in less than half a year, the bread shop which i go to for morning sandwiches has cut back..

  when it opened, there were 6 triangles of sliced bread with ham/tuna/egg/lettuce..

  then a while back, it became 5 triangles of sliced bread with stuff (no decrease in stuff)

  then today, it became 4 triangles of sliced bread with stuff..

  and there has been a steady decrease in size and thickness of the sliced bread...

  i think i'll continue to patronise them.. inflation is not caused by the little shops trying to make ends meet and they probably need our support.. and i will ingest fewer calories each day from them

  but CASE and all says some are profiteering... but seriously, some see things one sided

  say only rice price or wheat prices up, but in reality electricity everything all went up.. and asking ppl to 'absorb' as much as they can...

  i'm going for a seminar tomorrow.. silly seminar is going to be a waste of time but it's going to be at NUS and they've got transportation from Clementi MRT station so i'm pretty happy about it..

  but... our division presenter just got into a car crash.. she's all right except got 4 days medical leave.. now i've been activated because i'm the backup presenter of the backup presenter...

  and the guy doesn't look in the best of health at the moment 

  worse, he got mobilised by his reservist unit in the weekend.. and was only dismissed at 5am yesterday... he's complaining about "step on shit" now

  Soooo kewl!!  Just watched Anthony Bourdain exploring Paris and he drank one too many cups of Absinthe and the resultant footage of him trying to sleep in the old hotel room where Oscar Wilde breathed his last is soooo funny with the special effects!   

  Absinthe is still illegal in the States too.  Read about it a few years back in one of the gourmet food mags I read frequently.  Hmm... wonder if it's available in Australia...
