I think there's only 2 of them in SGH -

In other news.....S'pore's possibly sending LSTs, possibly 2 to render aid to Myanmar.
And in other news......1 of them's going back to the Gulf, Iraqi waters to continue another patrolling tour there, and I've expressed interest to be posted to that ship for that mission.

Actually we use Pumas to train.Although I doubt it can go into the hangar. The helicopter of choice is the SH-60 Seahawk.
20-23rd I'll be taking the newest and last frigate out and whack it to see which part breaks down next at S China Sea. The date 23/5 did not strike me as significant until someone joked that we'll probably stuck at S China Sea if Malaysia wins.

of course u have to use pumas to train, what other helicopter is there?
the frigates ARE designed for the seahawk. pumas only operate off LSTs.

specifically, pumas were not in the design considerations when they produced the frigate years back. kinda like the chinook to the LST.
we may buy the aircraft later, but we know what we wanna get.
F-15s were considered already long long long time ago. i got to see the promotional details and files while clearing the main hangar's store room.

The class of ship wasn't designed around the Seahawk. Nor is this helicopter operated on the other ships of the same class in the other navies. -
