Yeah. But spoiling the referendum will give those idiots in uniform some glee.
Their minds can get quite perverted.
now... for trying to 'tahan' price of rice, NTUC has to restrict ppl to max 3 packets of 5kg price per purchase
The way I see it.... the referendum is seen by those junta dogs as a (nominally) legal way to justify their rule.....
They can hold a referendum, spoil the vote behind the scenes, then declare a victory, declaring to the whole world, 'Hey.... the people wants us after all!'
The worst case scenario? Those dogs use the cyclone to come up with a Reichstag Fire Decree to further strengthen their 'legitimacy'.

The meichye kuoRuo look big in picture..but turned out to be small size. but it was quite nice..
The lady (PRC obviously) was explaining in such loud voice that my friend nearly jumped out of his skin.
The menu price is not accurate as they have raised the price without changing the price on the menu.
oh well, ONE TIME, NO SECOND TIME liao..
the PLACE IS DEFINITELY OVER RATED.
must tell the ieatishootipost fella.

I'm sure you guys all know about the Reichstag Fire Decree.....
It was the perfect excuse the Nazis used to seize power..... and in a perfectly legal way (at least nominally).
Wouldn't be past those junta dogs to have the same idea.

they'd come up with it by themselves..

Personally I wouldn't compare this to the Reichstag fire.
But going ahead with the referendum would definitely smack the opposition's wrist which is probably what the junta ever thinks of these days.

Historians are still split on whether the Nazis themselves started the Reichstag fire.
Some say that they did it, some say that they conspired with the Communists (and then turned on them), and some say that it was the work of a single fanatic Dutch commie.
But what is clear, though, is that the Nazis turned the tragedy to their advantage and milked it for all it's worth. I don't see why the non-human junta beasts won't use the cyclone tragedy the same way, regardless of what the referendum 'results' would be like.

The last comment was posted last November and by then the reviews of the place had become scathing. ![]()

Yeah, remember the good old days, back in the 80s, when oil was below $30/bbl.?
