  I can only speak for myself, as I go for taste, or something to warm me up on a cold day (like Scotch). I don't drink just to get drunk, hence I don't do the flaming stuff or shooters.

  i meant no offence by asking this. just do not understand why people drink liquor though. i can't drink it and never drink it before because of some medical reasons.

  I find that when one's high or drunk, the alcohol has a way of intensifying his "present feelings" i.e. he forgets his inhibitions or whatever worries he had, and he enjoys better the music or laughter of his company (and sadly sometimes also gets more violent when angered).

  I drink just for the taste mainly. Long island tea is usually my last drink of the night- hitting a high. I hate shooters- I'll pass out too early.
