i was sleeping, dreaming about a bowl of fish porridge and my friend calls me and wakes me up

its the second time i get woken up by stupid phonecalls today!!!!

Wa lao.....spent one afternoon packing and stuffing 9 cartons filled with towels into the cramped store of my ship.
Apparently the story goes as such:
Shortage of towels, my senior went to indent 3 cartons of towels. They arrived, when he was not around, so we embarked them and threw them into the gun reserve space which is pretty much a forgotten part of the ship. Nobody updated him.
Thinking the cartons did not arrive, he indented another 3 cartons. Once again, the same thing happened. Another bunch of guys embarked the towels and assuming that the towels were meant to be stored at the gun reserve space, dumped them there too.
Frustrated with what he perceived to be inefficiency of the system, he indented yet another 3 cartons of towels, ensured they came on board, only to be confronted with 9 freakin cartons full of towels.
I don't think we need any more towels till I ORD.

If you're not expecting work-related calls, couldn't you switch the phone off and just let incoming calls roll over to voicemail for you to deal with after you wake up?(I don't like having my sleep interrupted by phone calls too. That's why my cellphone is switched off when I go to sleep at night.)

the silly thing is that the work related message was SMSed to me. telling me what time i start work tomorrow.
the stupid thing is that i was dreaming about fish porridge and i was standing at the store, about to order it and i get a phonecall asking me if i wanna jog tomorrow morning or friday morning.
i am so pissed rite now. why couldn't it wait till i have FINISHED the porridge?!?!?

Conducted induction lessons for the crew of the last frigate, seems like folks are not used to a CPL teaching them stuff.
Entering the room, to a ribbing crew, they knew I wasn't one of them. Strangely nobody saw the badge indicating my ship.
Them: Eh, CPL, why you here?
Me: I'm here to conduct the training.

Freebies......imagine.Your tax $$ goes to funding all these mistakes.
It isn't just illustrated by this incident.
The same guy tried to indent wire brushes for de-rusting.
He wrote the wrong indent number into the form and we ended up with 2 boxes of wire brushes, for power brushes!

Did you feel the need to actually go out and get some fish porridge after you woke up?

i felt like fish porridge was taken away from me and i wanted to smash things up.
i have to go back to sleep and wake up to watch the Euros then go to work straight after that.
the fish porridge i dreamt of is too far from my home.
