Me too. My cats learnt to respect me.
They know that if they misbehave, all I need to do is glare at them and even before I can utter a word, they scramble helter-skelter in all directions liao! Note : NO cats were harmed in my life.

Biangz... makes me think that this is a sad world and we spend the rest of our lives trying to make ourselves happy.

I'm an ultra-sensitive person, I know the hell I had to go through, so no, I do not want to have a kid knowing that there's a 50% chance he/she will turn out to be like me and suffer endlessly.

Dad used it on me all the time. Majority of the time, it was unjustified but he was just using it to release pent-up anger.
I hated him for the longest time. It erupted in a huge fight one day when all my years of tolerating silently just came right up to the surface and in that instant, a HUGE fight. We wanted to kill each other until the neighbours had to intervene.
There. Cane your child the wrong way, and bear in mind the possible consequences.
