His logic was that ERP = less congested roads = more people are willing to buy cars.
Which also means that..... ERP has failed in its primary objective to control traffic.
the only thing they succeeded is collecting more money

environmental tax! for saving the environment, u get taxed!
I think they'll say its to discourage car ownership so the roads won't be so congested.
honestly i dun like driving / riding around in SG.
i just want my box on wheels to transport flashes that i'll use for shoots which earn me money.
of course!
i don't think CNG has a duty component to it..
so they will find some way to tax it...
notice if they were so "green" they'd give better tax breaks for hybrid cars like the Civic and Prius.. but they are not doing anything.. because less petrol used = less revenue

somehow those CNG thing look so flammable and it's giving me the shiver
I wonder when they will announce road tax for cyclists. Maybe even force them to install the card reader for ERP.
dun worry about that.
if it is that flammabe then alot of mishaps would have happened in thailand already.
service it, take care of it, it will be alright.

i'm thinking of this too... considering in pure $$ i get about 6.6km per dollar.. he gets 17km per dollar...suddenly the fugly CNG Toyota Wish becomes pretty cool
the Prius gets 23.5km per litre still goes to be around slightly more than 10km per dollar...
you can get it converted for around 3 to 3.5k ....
will lose a bit of boot space though

don't worry...
in Mythbusters, they tried to blow up a propane tank..
they fired 9mm, M1-Gaurant, shotgun with pellets and slug.. all failed to blow it up..
the only managed to do so by using a minigun with about 1,000 incendiary rounds... ![]()

collect nerver mind...if it comes back to people who pays for it in first place eg better facilities etc. but now you pay and you get nothing or worst facilities!
Hmm.... I think what's preventing most car owners from converting to CNG would be:
1. High initial installation cost
2. Loss of some boot space
3. Lack of CNG refuelling stations
I think (3) would be the most serious drawback. Heard that more CNG stations are gonna be set up, though.
By the way, Fatum.....
I've picked up your suit from the dry cleaners.
I'll be going to school tomorrow.
I'll drop off your suit at your place sometime after lunch on my way to school?
