Well they discovered what's wrong with my office PC. 80gb bad sector, whatever that means. Have asked them to take the fella to the hospital. In the meantime I stare into space! LOL! So what are you gonna do about your PC woes, Fudgie?

i think that's only because of the NDP ..... dunno which brillant arsehole decided to have it on the bay .......

I was there .... part of the poly sai kang contingent ....
I was told by one of the officers there that what happened was that the flighter fly-pass was off by a few seconds, so the parade commander wasn't flashed his cue to complete the command ......

To me GEP is just some harebrained elitist scheme designed to cultivate and nurture the so-called 'born geniuses' at the expense of the Average Joes.
In the first place, just because you do well academically when you're young doesn't mean that you'll always do well. I once knew this fella who scored 262 in his PSLE and had a bright future ahead of him. But then he chose the slack route, dropped A Maths and Higher MT, and barely made it into poly on his weak O Level grades. He was no doubt intelligent, but by his own admission he was a slacker as well.
Last I heard, he dropped out halfway through poly. I wonder what the heck he's doing now.
Besides, the way I see it, university is the great leveller. Regardless of whatever background you may have had, once you're in, you're all on the same level.

dunno. but I feel there are ppl who ended up threw their achivements on other's face
recently on e papers, one SMU grad who was initially rejected by e uni who was eventually accepted later on for SAT results or sort
apparently he did not do really well in poly, but had good O level results
