I got food poisoning from attending one of my cousin's void deck weddings.
And so did around 20 other guests.
I honestly do not approve of void deck weddings.... the hygiene standards involved in the food preparation and serving is questionable.
I enjoy void deck weddings more than any other kind I had to attend ![]()
the food is nicer, can dress casually, starts on time etc
I hate chinese wedding dinners
Our transporter brought over a Mata Puteh for my boss
Very active bird who is chirping non-stop

Well, I don't like the hygiene at void deck weddings.
And the way such weddings are conducted.... virtually every mother's son who has so much as a very tenuous connection to the wedding couple gets invited.
For instance, the FS' ex-colleague once invited the two of us to his son's wedding.
I couldn't help but think..... I was there as the groom's dad's ex-colleague's boyfriend.

wah liao abit the far stretched leh >.<
When I visit Singapore next year, I might organise a makan outing at Newton circus or similar venue where we can have seafood, bbq stingray, sambal squids, cockles, etc....
I believe places like that sell halal food so that fudgie can come, right?!
I look forward to meeting you people in person new year........

Wah u really wanna die
I've been to a few Malay weddings and Indian weddings before
Believe it or not but the best food I have eaten at both so far is this Indian Vegetarian Dinner.
Alamak the curries were fantastic man. The balance of spices and all
And the Indian Donut whatever you call them was the best I've ever eaten
I wanted to eat more but MPB dragged me home coz it was getting too crowded :(

hence the buffet and free seating style was introduced!
Actually MPB said for void deck Malay weddings it's the best way for cheapos to get a free meal
Go there just take food to eat
If someone ask, ask them if they are with the bride or groom
Than if they say bride, say u r the groom friend and vice versa
-_-

Ya my wedding dinner was buffet style and free seating
v
No need to hear the whinings of feuding relatives and no need to headache about seating arrangements
Buffet style also cater to all palates
I had food for vegetarians, chinese style food and western and japanese and italian and Indian too
Basically International fare. Wakaka

dun make me post the cheongsam pic ![]()
Oh ya I had chicken rice for the dinner buffet too
My fav comfort food
Then again our marriage wasn't exactly traditional too
We skipped the traditional chinese and indian wedding ceremonies (Yes up todate I have never Jing Cha before)
Church wedding is out because I won't convert
So I have to say ours is unique
well ... vietnamese weddings shouldn't be that much different from a chinese one eh .....

I attended a few malay weddings when I was young with my parents. I am not sure if this is what happened in Singapore, but the Malay weddings I had attended back home, the males and females don't sit together except the bride and groom. Dad had to sit with other male guests in one tent and mum and I had to sit with other female guests in another tent. Quite interesting.....
*giggles ....
I thought cassie was someone I met before at original sin .... ![]()
neways, you guys should try that place one of this days .... it's easily the best vegetarian meal I've ever had in my life ....
but then again .. I suppose it was the only real vegetarian meal I've had in my life .... ![]()
