  Something I just learnt ten minutes ago:

  A cheap $6 air pump works better than an expensive $40 impeller system when it comes to mixing hot water with cold water.

  Oh well.... research is all about making mistakes and learning from them.

  Besides, I can claim the money from my prof later.

  I've got those things in my lab.... using magnetic fields to spin a small piece of metal to mix a small amount of liquid.

  But they're verdamn expensive... and you can only use covered glass bottles.
