Hmm.... $860....
That leaves me with just under $1400 for a desktop if I go ahead with this plan.....
I still can't decide between
a). Super-powered laptop capable of high-powered gaming that I can lug around, or
b). Customized gaming desktop + mini-notebook.

Can't make your decision for you but for me, I'd go for Plan B.
Struggling to play games on the notebook is just pathetic.
