  I had an interesting conversation with my prof yesterday.....

   

  Me: I'm going to need a 5mW green-spectrum laser for my experiments.

  Prof: The grant money isn't in yet. Lots of red tape. Where can you buy one?

  Me: I can buy one over-the-counter at Sim Lim for around $70......

  Prof: $70 only?!?! (takes out wallet) Here's $100! Go buy the laser! Just give me the change and receipt!

  I think the army market at beach road got sell, much cheaper too. think about it. you might need spares.

  Really? Any particular trustworthy shops?

  I need green-spectrum lasers. Common red-spectrum lasers won't work for my purposes.

  I don't know the place well. I can only tell you the lasers they sell are made in china, that's why they're so cheap. the green one is more expensive than the red one of course. think it was what, $15 or $30. red one was $5

  I'm only suggesting buying multiple cheaper ones because you're magneto
