Yeah run on XP is much better. Tried using Vista with similar specs to you and it is much slower.

Usually, if the conferences are an utter waste of time, I'll just leave. No point staying then waste my time there... Unless, must stay until the end to get a certificate of attendence to show ur office.. then no choice..

Hmm..... according to the flyer, it's an extra $78 for an upgrade to 500GB.
I think I'll ask how much it'll cost to add another 2GB of RAM. Shouldn't be much more than $100, should it?
Anyway, I'm not into serious hardcore gaming. I want a good, decent workhorse that can last me for the next four years, not some super monster that can figure out Pi to one zillion decimal places.
I once read an article on this local guy whose gaming PC takes up an entire room. He zhnged it up so much that it had to have a liquid nitrogen cooling system.

thats a rip off..how much are u paying for ur 250gb harddisk?
i think a 500gb harddisk cost like 150 or sth..
2gb of ram is less then 100 yeah..
if you're already paying 1.3k, the top ups to 1.5k will be worth it..save on the software..
how much is ur casing?

for a certain few stuff like harddisk, try best bargains, they're quite cheap..
fuwell isn't too bad also.
you might wanna add a keyboard and mouse to your list too.. this ergonomic microsoft keyboard at 20 bucks i think, is quite nice to type on.
