I agree that it could be a case whereby my ex-schoolmates have a different perspective and attitude towards life. I guess I am just tired of having "weird" looks from peers when I said my idea of spending my weekend does involved hunting for "good" food, shopping in over-crowded shopping malls (that's why God invented online shopping!) and watching movies. Instead, I go away on vacations at least once a month, doing horse riding, sailing or anything that do not involved 2 million people being too closed to me than necessary.
Who else fell in the same category as me?

You are normal because... you posted 34,581 post over 8 years (which is 4,322 posts a year or 360 posts a month)?
Sound like you either don't have a full time job, or you are fantastically good in multi-tasking!

I think most of us here enjoy good food.
Our interests are extremely varied. There are those into photography (insects and what not), wakeboarding, in-line skating, off-shore fishing, diving, RC planes/toys, MMORPGs, Poetry, Photoshopping etc etc etc
There are also those who enjoy holidays on the off-beaten track.
Personally, I love open spaces but alas my holidays usually tied in with work so >.<"
Work/Holiday trip >.<"

There is nothing wrong with enjoying good food. Some people eat to live, while others live to eat. End of the day, its good to at lesat have some hobbies, whether its wakeboarding, photography, fishing, diving, or anything. Its a good thing but there are many, who hardly have any (and I am sure you know a couple of those).
I am more outdoorish, so am sure someone around are also outdoorish and adventurous.

Maybe you can try mountain biking. That I assume is outdoor enough. Come think of it, I have not sailed before, and you just gave me a bright idea.

there was a zoo trip. lets not forget the zoo trip.
although someone mentioned that was for the ice cream there... and that the zoo was an aftterthought...
don't forget about the blood donating outing we have too.. although its not quite an outdoor sport.. its something... different?

I think that falls under doing good deeds ... earning karma points .... whatever ....
but speaking of which ... why are there always so many more participants for the makan outings that follows after, rather than the blood donation outing itself ? ...

the ultimate outdoor gal here, is actually shrodingers cat ....
actually, most of the people here ... have their own outdoor sports/activities privately.. nothing to do with this forum...

Try reading my first post (you know the part where I said "Most of my (male & female) friends are foreigners and/or expats, but I am pretty sure that there are Singaporeans or maybe more foreigners, who are at the same life stage as me.).
I am not lonely or seeking companionship. If there are people around who are similiar to me, young, single, well educated, well travelled, well paid and always up to meet more new friends, or try new things, its good. Forum is merely an option to know more interesting people, right? Or I got it all confused with the definition of "bitch-fest"?
Of course, if I am in the wrong place, I will just stick with my caucasian friends, because "I am so easily impressed by caucasians and don't make any effort to hang out with Singaporeans".
p.s. sense of humour do help when it comes to reading my words.
