Never mind. Just report the fella.
Even if he's just blowing his horn, then a visit from AVA will teach him that only empty vessels blow loud horns.

I just hate it when asswipes release stuff into the ecosystem here!!!!
Last time our reservouirs were filled with plenty of tiger barbs and what not
These days you get giant stingrays and arapaimas in time along with the redtail catfish and other amazon monsters
I think if you were to dive in there you will pee in your dive suit >.<"
wtf??
arapaima in our waters??
our reservoirs are that dangerous?

They have fished up small ones before and someone said they saw a giant one before at dunno which reservoir
I wouldn't be surprised TBH
You get Giant Cichlids and what not from our reservoirs
I think the largest catch I heard was a freshwater ray over 1m in length (excluding tail)
Is it to be expected, or is AVA doing little about the smuggling of endangered species?
Would it be as bad as having cane toad introduced into Australia?

wah!! bbq stingray!
it's hard to close out all the borders.. i know..
it's harder when we try to, and people kpkb, AVA people don't want to go when summoned, and there is a market for these things..
hell, in Chatuchak, there were a LOT of ivory trinkets on sale..

it would be...
there was a case where just one cat caused the extinction of a bird species on an island...
the US are having problems with fireants and christmas island is having problems with crazy ants too..

AVA is claming down really hard and people are not offering illegal stuff out as often as before
Like the Stingray
It is illegal to sell even amongst hobbyist now (latest law change) but AVA understands that sometimes the ray breeds too quickly and you have to change hands and not just abandon the ray so they have a registered program if you are a hobbyist and you need to rehome your ray.
The mods in the forum I go to are by far the strictest and very little hanky panky there and everyone have been warned that AVA goes to that forum often
However most people are into freshwater fishes and not much attention is paid to the saltwater section so I think people didn't see the post.
Like the Australian Lungfish, the hobbyist are working with AVA to bring some in. It's all through legal channels unless someone decides to risk it by smuggling fish from across the causeway

Kinda like asswipes who release the red earred slider and caused our own soft shell turtles and box turtles to be threatened in their natural habitat
Oh ya and if you are lucky you can catch top quality Arowanas from our reservoirs too
There are actually people who earn side income from catching fishes from the reservoir to resell >.<
pinky u mean some idiot smuggled in some creature to be let free in east coast illegally?! wat's the logic? o.O
