  Fingers crossed, let's see if she will come back here after finding out that she couldn't get back into the wall.

  We will have to wait till this weekend to make a box for the possum.  In the mean time, she will have to find a temporary home somewhere else.  I think she's carrying a joey in her pouch.

  I am downloading the photos at the moment and I will put it up later....

  It does look cute and cuddly but can be aggressive.  Yes, it can bite and it has sharp claws too so I don't think I am going to get too close to it.

  Unfortunately we can't have BBQ possum....  While possums can be eaten, they are protected in Australia so we will have to learn to live with them even when they are a nuisance.

  Some councils even requires you to have a permit to trap a possum.  And you can't relocate the possum anywhere you want as possums are territorial and they can die from starvation due to competition with other possums.  So you have to ensure the possum is released near the place you trapped it.

  But if you ever want to try possum, you can go to New Zealand as possums are pests over there and they are not protected.

  awww.. c'mon.. the possum is so cute...

  should put a box and hope the little fella goes in there.. slowly go offer slices of apple and it'll get to know you're friendly
