its common sense : if u know that the background is bright and u wanna capture someone's face that's hiding in the shadow, u flip to spot metering and aim at the face.
good angle, the lower the more dramatic.
sharp, just keep it in focus and sharpen in photoshop.
composition and timing, its up to your own skill already, read 1 million books ain't gonna help.

same here! I get nostalgic over the yester year food -
to be safe, keep your EV to +0.3
nikon tends to be darker, but i shoot RAW and usually ISO 200, so i don't really care
against a bright background and if u use a hotshoe flash, blast the flash at the subject, reduce flash EV -1/3 or 2/3, use the aperture to adjust how bright u want the background to be.
see? photography isn't hard. i don't know why you make it sound like hard work.

got so pissed, i went out for lunch with 2 other colleagues and bitched all the way... nvr take hp, so no one can call me abt lunch duty... *evil grin*
today is like black tues... my dept got like 4 cases tat kenna from client and have to ans to lady boss... so far only 1 case went thru "court session"... i foresee dark clouds looming in glass room infrnt of me >.<

no wonder my pics mostly underexposed and i used jpeg...dunno how to adjust..
i should be shooting RAW on my new cammy..forced myself to learn photoshop..
